Choosing the right chair

What is the difference between a single, double, and 3-person camping chair?

Single chairs are built for one person. Lighter, more compact, easier to carry solo. Good for fishing, solo camping, sports sidelines, or anyone who wants their own space.

Double chairs have one shared frame with two seats side by side. Designed for couples, a parent and child, or two people who would rather sit next to each other than face each other. Most of our double chairs support 600 to 660 lbs combined.

3-person chairs are extra-wide loveseats — typically 75 inches across — built for three adults or a family with kids. They fold into a single carry bag and work well for groups who want to sit together without managing multiple chairs.

How do I choose between a low seat and a standard height seat?

Low seat chairs (around 15 to 16 inches from the ground) let you stretch your legs out in front of you. Popular for campfires, fishing, and beach days. The tradeoff is that standing up takes more effort — worth considering for older adults or anyone with knee concerns.

Standard height chairs (17 to 20 inches) are easier to get in and out of and work better on uneven ground. Check the seat height listed on the product page before ordering.

Which chair works best for camping versus backyard use?

For backyard and car camping, most of our chairs work well. Weight and packed size matter less when loading from a car — focus on comfort, seat width, and weight capacity.

If you are hiking to a campsite, pay attention to the folded weight and packed dimensions on each product page. Our lighter single chairs are more practical for trail carries. Double and 3-person chairs are designed for car camping and short carries from parking areas.

What chair would you recommend for someone who just wants to sit outside and decompress?

The moon saucer chair is designed for that. The wide curved seat cradles you in a reclined position, which naturally encourages you to slow down. If the goal is to stop moving and be present outside for a while, it is the one people tend to reach for.

For two people who want the same experience together, the high-back double chair with the low seat profile is a good choice — the reclined angle and neck support make it easy to sit for two or three hours without discomfort.

Is the heated double chair worth it compared to a regular double chair?

The heated double chair makes sense if you regularly sit outside in cooler weather — fall camping, cold-weather sports events, or evening fires when the temperature drops. Three heat settings and independent seat and back controls give you flexibility.

If you mostly use the chair in warmer seasons, a standard padded double chair offers the same seating comfort at a lower price.


Sizing and weight capacity

How accurate are the weight capacities listed on each product?

The weight capacities listed on our product pages are the tested limits provided by the manufacturer. We list them as stated and do not round up. For double chairs, the capacity is the combined total for both seats. We include per-seat breakdowns in the product descriptions where relevant.

Will two larger adults fit comfortably in a double chair?

It depends on the chair width and each person's build. Our double chairs range from 55 to 56 inches wide and support 600 to 660 lbs combined. Two average-build adults fit comfortably. For two larger adults who want more room, our 3-person chair at 75 inches wide may be a better fit.

Are these chairs suitable for taller adults?

Several of our chairs are designed with taller adults in mind. The high-back double chair has a 30-inch backrest that supports the neck and upper back. The oversized single chair and moon saucer chair both have wider and deeper seat dimensions that work better for taller or larger frames.

Backrest height and seat dimensions are listed on each product page. For adults over 6 feet, we recommend prioritizing backrest height and seat depth when choosing.


Materials and durability

What does 600D fabric mean and is it durable enough for regular outdoor use?

600D refers to the thread count density of the woven polyester fabric. The higher the number, the tighter the weave and the more durable the material. 600D polyester holds up well to sun exposure, rain, and repeated folding, and is easy to wipe clean. For regular seasonal use — camping, backyard, sports events — it is a practical and durable choice.

Will the steel frame rust if used in wet conditions?

All of our chairs use steel frames with a protective finish — either powder coat or plastic coat — designed to resist rust and UV fading. For occasional rain exposure or damp campsite conditions, the finish provides adequate protection.

We do not recommend storing chairs outside long-term in wet or humid conditions. Keeping them in the carry bag between outings, or storing them indoors, will extend the life of both the frame and fabric significantly.

How do I clean the chair fabric?

For most dirt and light stains, a damp cloth and mild soap is enough. Wipe the fabric surface, rinse with a clean damp cloth, and allow the chair to air dry fully before folding and storing. Avoid machine washing or bleach-based cleaners, as these can break down the fabric weave and stitching over time.


Setup and everyday use

How long does it take to set up and fold down?

All of our chairs are tool-free and require no assembly. Most unfold and lock into position in under 60 seconds. Folding back down takes roughly the same amount of time. The first use may take a little longer as you get familiar with the mechanism — after that it becomes quick.

Do these chairs work on sand, grass, and uneven ground?

On firm grass, packed dirt, and gravel, our chairs are stable and perform as expected. On very soft surfaces like deep sand or wet mud, the legs can sink slightly. Placing a flat board or ground mat under the legs helps on soft ground. Most of our chairs have non-slip rubber feet that grip reasonably well on moderately uneven terrain.

How does the heated chair work and how long does the battery last?

The heated double chair comes with two portable power banks that connect to built-in heating pads in the seat and backrest. Three heat settings — low, medium, and high — can be controlled independently for the seat and backrest zones.

Battery life depends on the heat setting used. On lower settings the power banks last significantly longer than on high. We recommend charging both fully before each use and starting on medium or low as a baseline.


Payment

What payment methods do you accept?

We currently accept PayPal only. All transactions are processed through PayPal's secure payment platform.

If you do not have a PayPal account, you can still pay using PayPal's guest checkout option, which allows you to pay with a credit or debit card without creating an account. Look for the "Pay with Debit or Credit Card" option on the PayPal screen during checkout.

Is it safe to pay through PayPal on your site?

Yes. All payments are processed through PayPal's secure platform, which uses SSL encryption and is compliant with PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard). We never see or store your card number or bank details — that information is handled entirely by PayPal.

Our website uses HTTPS throughout, including on all checkout and order pages.

My payment did not go through. What should I do?

If your PayPal payment was declined or did not complete, your order will not be placed. Check with PayPal to confirm the issue, then try again. If you continue to have trouble, contact us at support@alefadago.com and we will help.

I was charged but did not receive a confirmation email.

First, check your spam or junk folder. If you still cannot find the confirmation email, contact us at support@alefadago.com with your PayPal transaction ID and we will look into it right away.


Shipping and orders

How long will it take to receive my order?

Orders are processed within 1 to 3 business days. After that, standard delivery within the contiguous United States takes approximately 5 to 7 business days. Total delivery time is typically 6 to 10 business days from the date of purchase.

Do you ship to Alaska, Hawaii, or US territories?

At this time we ship to the contiguous United States (the lower 48 states) only. We do not currently ship to Alaska, Hawaii, or US territories.

My package arrived damaged. What should I do?

Contact us at support@alefadago.com within 48 hours of delivery. Include your order number, a description of the damage, and clear photos of the item and packaging. Photo documentation is required for all damage claims — it helps us resolve your case as quickly as possible.

My tracking says delivered but I have not received anything. What now?

First, check around your delivery area — carriers sometimes mark packages as delivered a few hours early, or leave them with a neighbor or building office. If the package has not shown up within 24 hours of the delivery scan, contact us at support@alefadago.com. We also recommend contacting the carrier directly with your tracking number — they sometimes have location details not shown in online tracking.


Returns and refunds

What is your return policy?

We accept returns within 30 days of delivery for unused items in original condition and packaging. Contact us first to get the correct return warehouse address — do not ship to the address on the original package. Full details are on our Returns and Refunds page.

Who pays for return shipping?

If the return is due to a defect, damage, or our error — we cover return shipping. Ship using any trackable service, send us the receipt, and we will reimburse the cost along with your full refund.

If the return is for personal reasons such as changing your mind or no longer needing the item — return shipping is the customer's responsibility. The original shipping fee is also non-refundable in these cases.

How long does a refund take?

Once the warehouse receives and inspects the returned item, we process refunds within 1 to 3 business days. After processing, the refund appears in your original PayPal account or card within 3 to 5 business days depending on your payment provider. You will receive an email confirmation once issued. No restocking fees, no hidden deductions.

Can I exchange my chair for a different model?

We do not offer direct exchanges. The simplest process is to return the original chair following our return policy, and once your refund is confirmed, place a new order for the model you want. This way your new order ships as quickly as possible without waiting on a manual swap.
